I Don’t Like Your Comment

I am getting loads of comments at my blog. Most of which I either just delete or mark as spam. Those comments that does make it as quality comments (and those that are better than spam) I allow. But then in time, if the commenter does not have a gravatar or the quality is not up to standard, the comment will get deleted.
Learn what you need to know when writing a comment.
There must be several blogs that automatically accept spam otherwise the spammers would not continue to bombard dofollow web blogs.
I don’t allow any blog comments to just show automatically . The reason being that I don’t get to check for spam every day and I would hate to give a spammer any free website advertising on my website.
WordPress is great since you can have a plugin like Akismet help you to minimize the spam you have to evaluate whether it is a legitable comment or not. When I eventually get back to check up on my blog, my work is rather limited as spamming comments from the known spamming IP-address get’s automatically deleted for me.
Every comment someone makes on my wordpress sites, are giving them a dofollow backlink. That means that if they want to get page rank for their website, they can do so by adding their website URL in the submission form where it asks the commenter for it.
Because I run the commentluv plugin at my blog, any commenter that writes a quality comment at my blog, and enters their blog URL in the web form as their home URL, will probably see a link pop up of their latest blog post. That gives them another bonus dofollow backlink.
For each approved comment I also check out the corresponding website of the commenter. If the website looks spammy and is pointing towards a site I don’t like, I will remove the link or the comment in totality.
Bonus for quality comments: If your comment is long enough, contains a gravatar and add quality content for my readers, guess what – you will see that I bookmark your page at delicious and tweet about it at twitter as well!

Hey thanks for this post. I see you have KeywordLuv and CommentLuv in your blog. It shows that you care for your blog readers and commenters. I will advise others to also leave meaningful comments here. I mean the man is giving you a dofollow backlink to your blog. Provided you get two links because of the KeywordLuv plugin.

Thanks for the comments Mike. All you need to make them permanent is to get a gravatar for your email you used when you commented here. All your comments are on topic, long enough and of good quality. Have a great day.
